Default Raybon...

Hey...
I'm George smith...
I knew a Chief Raybon from his trips to Camp Dawson WV... He was a chopper jockey...

I hope I am wrong, but I heard He was shot down and executed in "El-sal or Hondo" in the mid 80's.
I never got the entire story beyond that…
7tht, “D”, and the fore runner to 160th kept it quiet for a long time…

Hope I did not rain on the day too much…

Take care Happy Memorial Day

George

Raybon was flying a Medevac to pickup one of the guys who slammed a Thompson SMG down with a loaded mag and the round went into his head, if I remember right, anyway the weather was shitty and he flew into a mountain. Mid 80s. Great guy, one of the good people.
