Default 10th Bad Toltz 1955-1956

Any of you old timmers out there that served with the 10th at Bad Toltz between 1955-56. I know it's a long time ago but must be someone still hanging around the old drop zone. I was a radio operator back then.

David,
Greetings. Sorry to say I don't recall you, which probably isn't all that surprising since I was assigned to the S-3 Plans Section where we were kept pretty much under wraps most of the time.
I worked for Col Matter and Col Willis but my direct boss was LTC Corl. Danny Brosnan was NCOIC of the section. Some other names I recall, after all these years, are
Capt Roger Pizzelli, Capt John Warren, and "Hook" Nelson who, I think, was a Sp2.
I joined the 10th in October 1954 from a leg artillery unit up in Darmstadt.
It was one of the best career moves I ever made.
I count my time with the 10th SF Group as a major turning point in my life.

Bill Brown, (then Sgt E-5, later classfied as Sp-2)

Some of these guys you'll recall being there during that time period :
Jim Martin, Festenhammer, Manns, Thorne, Johnson, Klink, McFaden, Harpole, Dugan, Neuhaus, Karavorie, Coats, Paulick. Just to mention one or two, not many around any more.

My father was SGT JOE A DOWNING and served with the 19th SFG - unsure of complete timeframe but know he was active duty in May 1955 for sure.
