Looking to touch base with Capt Howard G. (Skippy) Anders, detachment commander of A-364 at Long Hai, RVN in late 1971-early 1972. Last time I saw him was at Ft Benning, GA. in the summer of 1973. He was attending the Infantry Officer's Advanced Course and I was in the Basic NCO Course, down from 10th Group at Ft Devens, MA.
Also any other members of A-364 from Dec 71 to Nov 72: George Young (aka Yankee Dog); Steve Wilson (flew chase medic with CCN); Charles F. Hogaland (Tm Sgt - aka Heavy Drop); George Goessens (last seen with the 82nd Abn at Ft Bragg in 74); Robert Caulder; Rex Hargadine (XO on the team); and last but not least Ken Bowra who came down from CCN and took over the team. Way to go, Ken - Sir!

He was the Company Commander of B/3/7th SFG.

Hi Mike Simpson & Joe Ogershok:
Better late than never. I retired in 1988, after helping to stand up SOCSOUTH. Had the privilege of working for Chuck Fry not once, but twice, the last time in SOCSOUTH. I'm now at Massanutten Military Academy in Woodstock, Virginia, as the Commandant.

Hey Gary:
Good to hear from you. You may have heard that Chuck is getting the "Bull Simons" Award at SOCOM on Tuesday, 17 February. I am planning to be there. I have a web address for him at home; I will retrieve it this afternoon and get it to you. As you might expect, Chuck spends most of his time in Latin America, leaving MJ to manage the Florida property. He had taken over Dick Meadows' mantle as hostage negotiator, and recently succcessfully ending a "situation" in Colombia. He and MJ have a retirement home in Uruguay, and I believe they are planning to winter there after the 17 February ceremony. I will check my home records and get back to you.
Regards,
Skip

More info for Gary and Joe on Chuck Fry. Chuck and MJ have moved to Uruguay. They will be in Tampa for a couple of days for the award ceremony for the Bull Simon Award at SOCOM, then back to Uruguay. Chuck's email address is deleted by admin; please do not post publicly private information about a 3rd party, but instead sent to interested individuals VIA private message.
I have recently exchanged emails with BG (ret) Remo Butler, who is living in Tampa, and plans to attend the Bull Simon Award Ceremony. I don't know who of the old 3/7 gang will be there.
